Over scapacity in TFT panel, Large manufacturers may reduce capacity to coping

TFT LCD panel prices reversing from the second half of last year, prices have fallen for several consecutive quarters.

According to the latest survey, most size TV panel prices have hit the cost range or even fell below the cost, IT application panel is still falling sharply. The main reason is that the oversupply of panels has not changed.

Although only the Japanese plant has cut capacity utilization rate at present,Taiwan panel maker AUO said it would adjust operating rate according to market demand,Innolux said it would flexibly adjust its capacity and product portfolio to maintain efficiency,it is expected that Korean factories may also reduce their capacity. However, it is not clear whether panel factories in mainland China also have capacity reduction plans.

Since this year LCD panel quotation is falling rapidly and the decline has been continuous. The main reason is panel continues to oversupply, no matter from the supply side or the demand side, there are difficult to solve the problem.
