On August 26, 2023,BYD Company Limited (00285) announced that the company concluded an acquisition framework agreement with the seller of Jabil Circuit (Singapore) Co.,Ltd .

The company conditionally agreed (by itself or its designated affiliated company) to acquire 100% equity of the target company (Juno Newco Target Holdco Singapore Pte. Ltd.) for about RMB 15.8 billion.

The target company will own the target business after completing the restructuring. The target business mainly includes the production and manufacturing business located in Chengdu and Wuxi, including the production and manufacturing of parts for existing customers. Such activities are carried out by the seller and its affiliated companies.

According to BYD Electronics, the above transaction will help the company broaden smartphone business, greatly improve customer and product structure, increase strategic layout of core device , and enter a high-speed growth cycle.
